Review: Kork iPad 1 Case

This easter weekend we decided to field test our Kork iPad 1 case, why you ask? Well we recently came in possession of an original iPad as all this talk of the new iPad (3) started playing our minds, we realised how much we missed the original iPad. However when we got rid of our 1st gen tablet we didn't sell the Kork case on the store at that time, so we have always imagined how well this case would work in real testing.

We knew of its great product features such as its eco credentials, lightweight and great protection capabilities, however the bulkiness of the case always put put us off and was some what of a concern. Much to our amazement after a full weekend with the case we actually found it very sturdy, lightweight and very usable which we didn't quite believe as we always assumed the thickness of the case would be a huge hindrance. Granted the Kork iPad case adds a lot more thickness to the tablet but it actually feels reassuring to use the case as it does a great job of keeping the iPad firmly in place, not having to worry about dropping the iPad as the shock will be absorbed was also a plus.

We came to the conclusion that despite the fact not that many people probably own or use an iPad 1 anymore, for the few that do and still need the perfect case, the Kork might not be for all but it will certainly be for some. The perfect environment for making good use of a case like this would be in a household family environment, where the iPad has more than one user and small children possible use the device. The Kork is friendly for small hands, offers a sturdy grip and gives great protection to the tablet. we give the Kork iPad case 4 out of 5 stars.
